Systems Engineering Research
I worked as a research assistant for Dr. Aaron Johnson as part of a team investigating how middle school students conduct systems engineering tasks using LEGO EV3 robotics. By analyzing video data taken from several research workshops, we found evidence that students employed systems engineering methods such as functional decomposition, requirement identification, and iterative design.
My responsibilities included planning the activity students would complete at the workshop, prepping and helping with the workshop, and analyzing/coding video data. More about this research can be found in the following papers: |
